Kendrick Lamar Fires Back with "6:16 in LA" Diss Track Aimed at Drake

Updated: May 18

Kendrick Lamar - Drake

Just when you thought the rap feud couldn't get any hotter, Kendrick Lamar returns with another scathing diss track "6:16 in LA" aimed squarely at Drake. Following the surprise release of "euphoria," which took shots at Drake and J. Cole, among others, K-Dot doubles down on his disses with "6:16 in LA," dropping exclusively on Instagram. The title itself is a clever play on Drake's signature titling format, reminiscent of tracks like "6PM in New York" and "4pm in Calabasas," while also serving as a nod to Tupac Shakur, whose birthday falls on June 16. In typical Kendrick fashion, the lyrics don't mince words, as he takes direct aim at Drake's persona and tactics.

Drake - Kendrick Lamar

"Have you ever thought that OVO was working for me? / Fake bully, I hate bullies, you must be a terrible person / Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it / Can’t Toosie Slide up outta this one, it’s just gon’ resurface," he asserts. But Kendrick doesn't stop there. He offers some pointed advice to Drake, calling him out for playing dirty with propaganda and relying on Twitter bots to boost his image. "But let me tell you some game, ’cause I can see you my lil’ homie / You playin’ dirty with propaganda, it blow up on ya / You’re playin’ nerdy with Zack Bia and Twitter bots / But your reality can’t hide behind Wi-Fi / Your lil memes is losing steam, they figured you out / The forced opinions is not convincin’, y’all need a new route. "With each bar, Kendrick reaffirms his position as a formidable opponent in the ongoing rap battle, leaving fans eagerly awaiting Drake's response. As tensions escalate between the two titans of hip-hop, one thing is certain: the feud is far from over.
