Ye vs. Adidas: Feud Reignited Over Yeezy 350s

Kanye West

Kanye West, now going by Ye, has once again ignited a feud with Adidas, his former business partner, over the release of what he deems as "fake" Yeezy 350s. Taking to Instagram, Ye called out Adidas for moving forward with the "Steel Grey" 350 V2s without his approval, urging fans not to support the unauthorized designs. He also alleged that Adidas is suing him for $250 million while continuing to profit from the Yeezy line without compensating him. This latest clash comes amid a turbulent relationship between Ye and Adidas, which severed ties with the rapper in 2022 following a series of controversial remarks, including hate speech and antisemitic comments.

Adidas, on the other hand, has maintained its stance, disclosing last year that it initiated a private arbitration case against West's Yeezy LLC, citing his offensive public statements as a violation of their partnership agreement. While Ye claims Adidas is suing him, it remains unclear whether the $250 million figure he mentioned pertains to this arbitration case or if it's ongoing. Amidst the dispute, Adidas has announced the sale of its remaining Yeezy inventory, navigating a delicate situation following its split with West. With the conflict escalating, the future of the Yeezy brand and the relationship between Ye and Adidas hangs in uncertainty, overshadowed by legal battles and controversies.
